Denholm Zholdas awarded a new scope by Tecnimont KZ LLP

Denholm Zholdas has been awarded a new scope by Tecnimont KZ LLP, a joint venture between Tecnimont S.p.A. (a subsidiary of MAIRE S.p.A.) and Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd. (SSFC), for the pre-fabrication of approximately 120,000 diameter-inches of stainless steel piping and pneumatic haulage systems for the Silleno polyethylene production complex in the Atyrau region.

The award marks Denholm Zholdas's first fabrication scope carried out from its newly built fabrication shop at the Karabatan base, and follows the company's earlier appointment to provide material handling services on the same project. The scope will involve around 150 personnel on site daily over the course of a year.

The new shop was established as part of Denholm Zholdas's ongoing investment in expanding its fabrication capabilities and opportunity to increase market share in construction business in Kazakhstan.

This award represents an important opportunity for Denholm Zholdas to demonstrate the capability of its new shop and its execution standards to the client, and the company sees it as a strong foundation for securing further fabrication work at the facility going forward. It also reflects the deepening relationship between Denholm Zholdas and the Silleno project as it moves from early construction into more specialized scopes of work.

Denholm Zholdas has provided specialist industrial services to the oil and gas sector in Kazakhstan since 1999. Tecnimont S.p.A. is the EPC contracting subsidiary of MAIRE S.p.A.; Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd. (SSFC) is a leading Chinese engineering and construction contractor. Together, as Tecnimont KZ LLP, they are delivering the Silleno polyethylene production complex in Kazakhstan.
